We certainly don’t get up to NYC/Brooklyn as often as we’d like. It’s one of our favorite places to visit for sure and inspires us on so many levels. Everything from the hustle and bustle, to the sounds, the food, to the architecture and the people. Sometimes though, it can all be a bit overwhelming at times for small/big city folk like us because we just want to take so much if it in at once.

After only getting to Skype with these two when initially meeting them, we were so eager to get up to Brooklyn to finally meet them in person cause they’re just the coolest, most chill and silliest. We also couldn’t wait to see the city decked out in full fall colors and ready for Halloween. It was so great that Steve and Amelia, knowing enough about us to know what we’d like and being on board with our desired “day-in the life” style and vision for the shoot, showed us some great spots of which some we’d simply just stop to hang out at. We met them at their super cool apartment in Greenpoint and started there. I mean, what’s more sentimental of a location than home, right?! And the beautiful natural light flowing was glorious, illuminating the space in the most flattering way. Making tea and sitting down with their favorite mugs to sip on let us all settle in and chat. Finally, after mustering up some bravery, we headed out into the cold and were racing an incoming rain storm. Before we made our way to DUMBO, we loved going to the park right behind their apartment where they frequent sometimes together to read and escape to a little bit of nature. We could tell it was definitely a source of relaxation for them that set the tone for the rest of our time together. We grabbed some great coffee at Littleneck Outpost and then strolled around the Brooklyn Bridge Park till we couldn’t stroll anymore. Oh and that rain storm? We told it to beat it. And it did.
