The Outer Banks of North Carolina are an absolute gem and if you’ve never visited, we highly suggest you do! They are genuinely unique and beautiful. We typically aren’t the biggest fans of beaches, but we certainly love the opportunity to hit up the Outer Banks. It’s so laid back out there and we really cannot stress enough how beautiful it is. Among our favorite spots is Jockey’s Ridge. It’s the largest and tallest active sand dune in the eastern United States. It’s like being in Star Wars (The Phantom Menace) or on the moon or in a desert lol.
When helping couples choose a location for their elopement, Jockey’s Ridge is high up on our list of recommendations for North Carolina elopements. So, that’s why we chose to do this intimate North Carolina sand dune elopement styled shoot with our good friend Chelsea over at The Gathering Co. at Jockey’s Ridge.
We set out to create some elopement inspiration for those who might be on the edge about choosing an elopement vs a wedding and want to see how an elopement can still incorporate those beautiful details you’ve always dreamed about, the dress you’ve always wanted, the ceremony and the vows as you would with a big wedding, but without the stress. Elopements aren’t for everyone, of course. But for anyone considering eloping, no matter the location you might want, feast your eyes on these photos for inspiration.

Wow these pictures are amazing and the setting so outstanding!! Also, the bride’s dress is clean but elegant style. Can’t believe it is from ASOS. Do you know how much it costs? My husband and I are renewing our vows and as I don’t have much budget was thinking of something cheap but cool as that dress for examople. I’m planning the whole look and thought also about some sunglasses as the wedding will be in the summer. I’ve looked pretty much anywhere but didn’t find anything interesting. I’ve seen many eyewear websites and not really sure which one I can actually trust. This one seems ok https://www.smartbuyglasses.com/ but I haven’t really heard about it and can’t find many reviews online so I’m not really sure. Maybe you can make some post about sunglasses or eyewear generally speaking? that would help me a lot in my research. Thanks a lot xx dan
