These two have always felt like they were friends. Like we’ve known each other since childhood. They are just those kind of people. In fact, I honestly cannot even remember how we met Chelsy and Thomas, but I am glad we did. Chelsy is the founder of The Gathering Co. and it an incredible wedding planner. Now, Chelsy and Thomas new parents! The most important job either of us can imagine. Being able to see friends grow their families is an incredible thing to witness. It’s no wonder we love when we are asked to photograph them and their beautifiul new additions. No difference this time around. So incredibly honored to have been able to come over to their home, toss a backdrop up in their backyard and photograph them with their little Harvey and create these beautiful minimal and natural images.
These speak to us in a way that reminds us that it doesn’t always matter the location you are photographing in. It’s about the subject, their love for each other and in this case, for each other and the product of their love. The lack of distractions and focus on them are something we hope little Harvey will pick up on when he sees these photographs when he is older and understands that the most important things in life are right here, in front a white sheet in his childhood backyard.
