Where do we begin with these two!? When Emily + Chris contacted us, we new right away that they had something extra special and we knew right away we wanted to be the ones who documented that and this season of their life. They immediately trusted and connected with us and vice versa. To us, that is always huge. Trust, vulnerability, openness and realness. Those are characteristics we love in our couples. From our time spent in the mountains near Boone doing their engagement session, they showed this comfort with one another and themselves in front of the camera and even in conversation between shots and locations that made the whole process so easy and fun. Building that trust and openness is what we are always working to build with our couples – making room for opportunities to create real, unique and honest photographs. So, when we showed up for their Providence Cotton Mill wedding, it was like we had already known each other for years. Besides the whole day being beautiful from the venue, Emily’s dress, their vows and their love that gave off this warmth and comfort to everyone there – these two West Virginia natives showed up being their most honest selves. They also put so much into this beautiful day and each little part and detail of it was all representative of them and their love.
